This is the first unit of the Cambridge Environmental Management IGCSE course; Rocks and Minerals. Dates: January 7 Formation of Rocks January 14 Extraction of rocks and minerals from the Earth January 21 The impact of rock and mineral extraction January 28 Managing the impact of rock and mineral extraction February 4 Sustainable use of rocks and minerals February 11 Recap, revision and exam questions All lessons are taught using detailed PowerPoint slides which support teaching and contain all the subject material needed for the IGCSE. No textbook or workbook is necessary. All lessons slides as a pdf, recordings and other resources will be placed in a google classroom each week. These will be accessible until June 2026. The complete course will run until the end of March 2026, for the May 2026 exams. Each unit will be bookable separately.
